HoodLamb Travels to Paris to Meet Up With Sea Shepherd Founder Paul Watson
Recently, HoodLamb founder Douglas Mignola travelled to Paris to meet up with Sea Shepherd’s Captain Paul Watson and give him our newly designed Sea Shepherd Noordic Parka. HoodLamb will release the new Sea Shepherd Parkas next Fall. In the meantime, our design team created a special custom-made prototype especially for Captain Paul. We brought a camera along to capture the moment.
HoodLamb has proudly collaborated with Sea Shepherd since 2010 as both apparel partner and committed supporter of its cause to defend marine wildlife worldwide. In the past years, successful campaigns like Operation GrindStop, Cove Guardians, No Compromise, Divine Wind and Zero Tolerance have saved the lives of many whales, dolphins and other sea creatures. Sea Shepherd has also generated a lot of public attention for illegal whaling, dolphin slaughter, overfishing and destruction of the oceans ecosystems.
As apparel partner, HoodLamb has created custom designs in collaboration with Sea Shepherd and tested these at arctic temperatures to ensure that each garment provides protection in even the most extreme climates. To create additional awareness for Sea Shepherd’s important work, the original crew gear has been made available for the public through the HoodLamb Sea Shepherd collection. A portion of all HoodLamb Sea Shepherd sales goes to support Sea Shepherd expeditions worldwide. So far, HoodLamb has donated more than $186.000 to Sea Shepherd and we hope this amount will grow more with the continuity of our Sea Shepherd line.
Currently, Sea Shepherd is getting ready to set sail for the South Seas to continue its mission to protect marine life there. Simultaneously the organization is running campaigns against overfishing, the slaughter of dolphins and seals, and lobbying for protection of coral reefs and ocean reserves like the Galapagos.
At HoodLamb we’re proud to be part of this international movement to protect our oceans and drive awareness. We thank everyone for their support and really look forward to continuing our work with them in the coming Fall Collection with the launch of the Sea Shepherd Noordic Parka.
