Our perfect day in Amsterdam

Planning a visit to Amsterdam this Winter? Follow along on an insider tour of some of our favorite cafe’s, lunch spots, and cool stores.

Start your day at CT Coffee and Coconuts, the perfect place to meet a friend for breakfast.   Located in a 20s era cinema the space is beautiful and the menu delicious. We recommend the Gorilla Juice, made with chocolate, coconut water, oat milk, berries, almonds and bananas. Yum!

Ready to shop? Take a walk through the lively Pijp. A bohemian neighbourhood filled with little boutique shops, coffee houses and lots of cozy restaurants. Pass the Albert Cuyp market where you can try a traditional herring with uitjes (raw fish with onion) or stroopwafel (a freshly made waffle filled with golden syrup) to arrive at Charlie+Mary. A cool fashion store that stocks a great selection of sustainable and ethical fashion labels including our HoodLamb jackets.

Across the street you’ll find one of Amsterdam’s best kept secrets, Mumu’s Vitamin Chocolates. All chocolates are home-made, dairy-free and are enriched with vitamin elixirs. The creamiest and tastiest chocolates you’ll ever taste!

Continue to Museum square and, if you like, take a picture on top of the famous iAmsterdam sculpture. Pass under the Rijksmuseum to arrive at the Spiegelstraat, a picturesque shopping street with lots of art galleries and antique shops. Take a right onto the Kerkstraat and stop by Lavinia Good Food for a delicious lunch break. We love their spelt pizzetta’s, especially the one with hummus, grilled aubergine, rucola and pomegranate!

Re-energised? Continue our tour to the Utrechtsestraat, a famous shopping street where you can find beautiful fashion & interiors boutiques, record shops and lots of good food spots. One of our favorites is de Geitenwollen Winkel. An eco-concept store where you can shop beautiful organic fashion, perfumes and accessories.

Craving a little pick-me-up? At the end of the street you’ll find our favorite salad bar SLA. We love their salads and soups but we secretly come for their Raw Salted Caramel Cake. It’s heavenly!
